A little about Mrs. Lawrence
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am excited to be your child’s teacher! This will be my 28th year in Education! Wow, time flies when you are having fun!
I am a California native and have lived in San Diego since the age of five. I went to college at The University of California Santa Barbara where I majored in Spanish. I then moved back home to San Diego to get my Bilingual Cross-Cultural Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at SDSU. I also have my Masters in Education in Reading Instruction and Curriculum Development. I have taught all grades: Kindergarten-5th grade. I was hired at Casita as the Literacy Coach for the staff 7 years ago, and I haven't left! I truly love my job, my team, the Casita staff, and my "littles"!
I am blessed to have a husband that teaches in the district too! We have five children in our blended family, five dogs, and 6 chickens. Spending time with family and our friends is very important to me. In my free time I enjoy doing Jazzercise, scrapbooking, taking road trips in our RV, and reading.
Welcome to Kindergarten! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns! It is going to be a great year!
